Downloading Files

To download music files from this site do the following:

Internet Explorer:  Left click on the title and select "Save this file to disk", or right click on the title and select "Save Target As..."  

Netscape Navigator Left Click on the title and select "Save it to disk", or right click on the title and select "Save Link As..."

Playing Back Files

Once the sound files are on your computer's hard drive you can play them back by double clicking on their icon in the folder in which you stored them. Your computer must be equipped with a sound card and the proper playback software.

You may want to set up play lists on this software, and play the files back directly from your computer, or send the output of your computer's sound card to a public address system or tape recorder.

NOTE: If you store the files on cassette or other media, make sure they are labeled accurately to avoid playing back the wrong anthem!

MP3 Software

The audio files on this site are encoded in MP3 format. You will need a current version of Windows Media Player,  Win Amp or other MP3 playback software in order to play them back. Follow the above links to go to sites for more information about this technology.

The music files on this website are intended for official use by Department of Defense and U.S. government offices only. Exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

PLEASE NOTE: Foreign national anthems are subject to change without notice, therefore all foreign National Anthems must be verified for accuracy by the Navy Band Tape Library prior to use. Please allow three weeks for this verification process.
