Meet the Musician
Musician 1st Class Arianna Beyer,
Musician 1st Class Arianna Beyer from Mount Dora, Florida, joined the Navy Band in 2017, after earning a Bachelor of Music in clarinet performance with an arts leadership certificate from the Eastman School of Music that same year. She graduated from Eastman with highest distinction and was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda (National Music Honor Society). In the summer of 2017, Beyer studied at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California. In 2016, she interned with The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" in Washington, D.C., which gave her the opportunity to perform on four concerts with TUSAB Concert Band as a clarinet section member.
Beyer is the 2013 winner of the national United States Navy Band Young Artist Solo Competition, which earned her recognition in the Congressional Record by Hon. Daniel Webster of Florida for her "hard work, dedication, and achievement" that "allowed her to gain tremendous recognition as a clarinetist at a young age." Additional honors and awards include: 198th Army Band Solo and Small Ensemble Competition College Solo Winner (2016), Gerke Collegiate Artist Winner (2015) and National YoungArts Foundation Competition Winner (2013 and 2014). Her primary teachers and mentors include Jon Manasse, Richie Hawley, Kenneth Grant and Lynn Musco.
