Musician 1st Class Neil S. Brown,

Trumpet

Musician 1st Class Neil Brown joined the Navy Band in September 2009.  He had his musical beginnings growing up in Guilford, Conn., and earned a Bachelor of Music  in music performance from the University of Maryland in 2009. His primary teachers have been Chris Gekker, Steven Hendrickson, and Allan Dean.

Brown twice attended the Colorado College Summer Music Festival in 2007 and 2008 and participated in the National Orchestral Institute in 2009.  In his free time, he is an active freelance musician in the National Capital Region and a member of the brass band Brass of the Potomac.
