Senior Chief Musician Luellyn Dollard, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, joined the Navy Band in 1993.  She earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas in 1991 and a Master of Music from Northwestern University in 1992, both in flute performance.  She is a former student of Mary Karen Clardy, Walfrid Kujala and Keith Underwood.  She has performed with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the National Symphony, the Arlington Symphony Orchestra, and the Falls Church Chamber Orchestra.  Dollard is a prize winner in the National Flute Association's Young Artist and Piccolo Artist Competitions.  She is a frequent soloist with the Navy Band and director of the Navy Band's Windjammers woodwind quintet.

 

Dollard also serves as principal flutist, flute section leader (an administrative position), and awards coordinator for the Navy Band.  In her free time, she enjoys windsurfing and triathlons, and spending time with her family.
