Saturday, October 27, 2018, 2 p.m.

Film Director: James Whale

Get into the Halloween spirit by experiencing the classic 1931 film “Frankenstein,” starring Colin Clive and Boris Karloff, live at the AFI Silver Theater in Silver Spring, Maryland, with accompanying music performed by the U.S. Navy Concert Band. This groundbreaking horror film tells the story of a mad scientist, Dr. Henry Frankenstein, who combines body parts of the dead to create a living monster. The film, based on Mary Shelley's iconic novel, will be "brought to life" in a modern and exciting way with Michael Shapiro's haunting musical score accompanying the dialogue. Running time of the film is 70 minutes. These performances are free and open to the public, and no tickets are required. Halloween costumes are encouraged!
