Musician 1st Class Adam K. Grimm,
Public Information Coordinator, Baritone Saxophone
Musician 1st Class Adam Grimm, a native of Forest Hill, Md., joined the Navy Band in 2001. He studied saxophone at Towson University, where his teachers included David Stambler and Joseph Briscuso. He has performed with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, the O’Jays, Claudio Roditi, Gabrielle Goodman, Scott Baker, and the Artie Shaw Big Band. Grimm is also a founding member of the Old Line Quartet, a Washington, D.C.-based jazz saxophone quartet, and he is a former faculty member of the Friends School of Baltimore and the Towson University preparatory division.
In addition to saxophone performance, Grimm has also served as assistant webmaster, Concert Band stage crew chief and assistant stage manager, baritone saxophonist in the Navy Band Saxophone Quartet, command assesment team member, International Saxophone Symposium assistant and auditions manager for the Navy Band. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and embarking on the occasional caving excursion.
