Meet the Musician

Chief Musician Jennifer A. Stothoff,


MUC Jennifer A. Stothoff

Jennifer Stothoff, a native of Roanoke, Va., joined the Navy Band Sea Chanters in January of 2002.  She studied voice at Towson University, under the direction of Carolyn Black-Sotir, and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Vocal Music.  Prior to the Navy Band, she performed at Hershey Park in Hershey, Penn. in 1995, and was later awarded the Sanborn Scholarship for solo voice from Towson University in 2000.  Drawing from her dance and Musical Theater experience, Chief Stothoff has choreographed many of the Sea Chanters musical theater pieces and was a featured dancer for the Navy Band Holiday concert in 2008.  She is the leader of the “Anchor Sisters” vocal trio that performs regularly with the Sea Chanters. 


Chief Stothoff serves as a National Tour Manager and as a member of the Command Productions Team.  In her free time, she performs with the “Ragg Dolls” in the swing band “Raggs and the All Stars.”  She also enjoys spending time with family and singing as a member of her church worship team.
