SPECIAL CONCERT

Labor Day Concert, U.S. Navy Memorial
Monday, September 7 at 1:00 p.m.
Concert Band

The season begins on Memorial Day and ends on Labor Day at the U.S. Navy Memorial, located at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue, N. W., just steps from the Archives-Navy Memorial metro stop. During the summer months, you can hear the Navy Band on Monday evenings at the west side of the U.S. Capitol and on Tuesday evenings at the Navy Memorial for "Concerts on the Avenue™." All concerts begin at 8 p.m. and no tickets are required for these free concerts.

In addition to classic band concerts, the schedule will include performances by Navy Band Specialty Groups - the "Sea Chanters" chorus, "Commodores" jazz ensemble, "Country Current" country-bluegrass group and "Cruisers" contemporary entertainment ensemble. Look for our special series at the Navy Memorial that will feature several performing units on the same concert! These not-to-be-missed productions are designed to be the perfect entertainment for a summer evening in Washington, D.C.

Summer provides many opportunities to hear your United States Navy Band in venues throughout the region. View our comprehensive performance calendar.

Because most of our summer concerts are held outdoors with no rain site, inclement weather can cause cancellation. Up-to-date performance and cancellation information is available on our Performance Hotline at 202-433-2525. If you have any questions about this series or any Navy Band performances, email our Public Affairs Office.
