Equally at home in formal concert settings and educational outreach, The U.S. Army Band Saxophone Quartet is one of the most versatile and dynamic chamber ensembles within “Pershing’s Own.” Formed in 2004, the quartet has presented concerts and clinics coast-to-coast in university and informal settings alike. Made up of members of The U.S. Army Ceremonial Band, the quartet has performed in high-level ceremonies around the world in support of the president of the United States, visiting foreign dignitaries and thousands of military funerals in Arlington National Cemetery. The quartet is similarly fluent in both classical and jazz music, and embraces opportunities to perform challenging repertoire spanning the entire spectrum of music history. The U.S. Army Band Saxophone Quartet always engages audiences wherever they perform with the goal of entertaining, edifying and sharing the story of the American Soldier.
