Biography


Chaithu Natarajan is a fourth year of undergraduate student of Professor Chien-Kwan Lin, and has been playing the saxophone since 5th grade. His past teachers include Kenneth Ellison and Darryl Yokley. He has won prizes for both solo and chamber settings in prestigious competitions such as the Golden Key Music Festival, Music-fest: Rising Talents, the Coltman Chamber Music Competition and the Empire State Competition. Natarajan has performed at Carnegie Hall four times. In addition, he has performed in master classes for James Umble, the New Century Saxophone Quartet, PRISM Quartet and more. He has recorded and performed for AIR (All India Radio), India’s largest radio network and public broadcaster. Natarajan is currently a dual-degree student at the Eastman School of Music and University of Rochester, studying saxophone performance and business.
