Formed in 2017, Centennial Quartet is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and consists of students of the Georgia State University saxophone studio under the tutelage of Jan Berry Baker. Quartet members include Megan Bauman originally from Medicine Hat, Canada (MM '18), Douglas Tiller from Athens, Georgia (BM '20), Ciara Hill from Clermont, Florida (MM '19), and Hassan High from Atlanta, Georgia (MM '19). Centennial Quartet is dedicated to performing standard works for saxophone quartet, along with gaining exposure for new pieces by up-and-coming composers. Future engagements include an appearance as guest soloists alongside the GSU University Singers led by Deanna Joseph performing Tonu Korvits’s "Hymns from the Western Coast" for saxophone quartet and choir, which will be recorded and released on the University Singers’ upcoming CD in 2018. Quartet members have participated in intensive saxophone programs including the Frederick L. Hemke Saxophone Institute and American Saxophone Academy.
