MFSQ is a saxophone quartet based out of Ithaca, New York, comprised of students who study under Steven Mauk at the Ithaca College School of Music. Members include Kelsey Beyer on soprano, Scott Byers on alto, Dunham Hall on tenor and Jared Banker on baritone. MFSQ actively performs a wide array of music from the saxophone quartet repertoire, steeped equally in classical, jazz, funk and contemporary styles. MFSQ’s mission as a chamber group is to perform diverse repertoire to connect with audience members through fun and assorted programing. Past performances include the Hudson Valley Saxophone Winter Wonderland Symposium, throughout the Ithaca area, and masterclass performances for the Akropolis Reed Quintet.
