Biography


The Frost Saxophone Quartet is composed of members Brian Bethea, Joey Speranzo, Frankie Capoferri and Sam Valancy. All of them study with Professor Dale Underwood and are members of the Frost Wind Ensemble. The quartet was formed in 2017. The soprano player, Brian Bethea, is currently a DMA student and one of the teaching assistants at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Alto player, Joey Speranzo, is currently an MM student and the other of Professor Underwood’s two teaching assistants. The tenor player, Frank Capoferri, has had the opportunity to study in London before returning back to finish his college career by getting his DMA. Samual Valancy, the baritone player and a Miami, Florida, native, is currently in his junior year pursuing a BM in saxophone performance with a minor in studio music and jazz.
