Biography


Founded in 2016 at Michigan State University under the tutelage of Joseph Lulloff, the Spectra Quartet is a diverse group of ambitious undergraduates from across the nation. Grace Gelpi, soprano saxophonist, is a college junior from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Adam Epler, alto saxophonist, is a college sophomore from Richardson, Texas. Zoe Dittman, tenor saxophonist, is a college sophomore from Brighton, Michigan. William Marchetti, baritone saxophonist, is a college junior from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Spectra Quartet has performed in master classes led by Nobuya Sugawa, Capitol Quartet, Idit Schner, Masahito Sugihara, and the Breaking Winds bassoon quartet. They have performed a wide variety of repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary for diverse audiences throughout the state of Michigan.
