Biography


The Interservice Saxophone Ensemble (ISSE) is comprised of musicians from the premiere military bands of the United States Armed Forces. The ISSE performs arrangements of marches, large-scale orchestral and band works, and original works for saxophone. Under the direction of Master Sergeant Steven Temme of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band, the ISSE performs annually at the United States Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium. Recent programs have included the music of Hector Berlioz, Henry Fillmore, Gustav Holst, Charles Ives, Sergei Prokofiev and John Philip Sousa. The 2018 ISSE includes members of the United States Air Force Band, The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own," the United States Navy Band, and "The President's Own" United States Marine Band.
