The Junction Saxophone Quartet is a Pennsylvania-based chamber ensemble comprised of Todd Goranson, Amanda Heim, Holly Hubbs and Curtis Johnson. All active solo and chamber musicians and college-level instructors, the members of Junction collaborate for performances of new repertoire and standard works for saxophone quartet. Goranson is an associate professor of music teaching bassoon, saxophone and jazz at Messiah College, having served previously on the faculties of Texas A&M University-Commerce and Frostburg State University. Heim serves as lecturer of music and coordinator for recruitment and outreach at the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College. Hubbs is a professor of music and department chair at Ursinus College. Johnson serves as assistant director of bands at University High School in Morgantown, West Virginia, after a career of teaching saxophone at West Virginia University. Formed in 2013, the quartet has performed at the 2015 and 2016 U.S. Navy Band International Saxophone Symposiums, the 2014 and 2016 NASA Biennial Symposia, as well as guest recitals at colleges and other venues across Pennsylvania and the Northeast.
