Biography


Douglas Owens, associate professor of music, teaches double reeds and saxophone at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Furman University, a Master of Music from the University of South Carolina and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Georgia. He performs regularly with the Paducah (Kentucky) Symphony Orchestra. In addition to frequent chamber performances with the LCD Trio, he is also the baritone saxophonist for the Sax O'Clock Quartet.



Charles Lewis holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Tennessee at Martin and a Master of Music from the University of Memphis. He is currently flute instructor at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Lewis is principal flutist of the Jackson (Tennessee) Symphony.



Liz Aleksander is associate professor of music at the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM). She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Nebraska, a Master of Music from Northern Arizona University, and a Bachelor of Music from Ohio University. She is the bass clarinetist with the Paducah (Kentucky) Symphony Orchestra in addition to her extensive performances with the LCD Trio.
