Concert saxophonist and pedagogue Matthew Younglove has performed concerts and recitals across the United States, France and the UK. He currently serves on the faculty of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Additionally, he has served on the faculties of the University of South Carolina and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. As an expert interpreter of contemporary music, Younglove has commissioned and/or premiered works by many leading composers of today. As a soloist he has performed with the Bowling Green State University Wind Symphony, the Wayne State University Wind Symphony, the Minot Symphony Orchestra, the Florence Symphony Orchestra (South Carolina) and the Motor City Symphony Orchestra, and performed his international debut last season with the International Symphony Orchestra. As a member of the award-winning Assembly Quartet, he frequently tours the U.S. and abroad, performing concerts and engaging in educational outreach performances. He can be heard on the AMP label.
