Meet the Musician

Musician 1st Class Christopher M. Trupe,

Audio/Visual Engineer

MU1 Christopher M. Trupe

Christopher Trupe, a native of Reading, Pa., joined the Navy Band in October of 2002.  He earned a Bachelor of the Fine Arts in Theatre Production with an emphasis in Sound Reinforcement and Lighting Design from Penn State in 2002.  While attending Penn State, Petty Officer Trupe was a trumpet player in the Penn State Marching Blue Band.  He is currently the Sound Engineer for Cruisers.  Prior to joining the Navy Band, Petty Officer Trupe toured the United States as a sound engineer for the Bobby Mercer Road Show and was a sound engineer at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  He is a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.).


In addition to being the Cruisers' sound engineer, Petty Officer Trupe is also the group’s Tour Manager, organizing all aspects their national tours, and he is the supply section manager for the Audio Visual Unit, in charge of purchasing supplies for the unit.  He has been a Navy Band sound engineer for many music festivals around the country.
