Chief Musician Patrick J. White,
Musical Director/Fiddle/Mandolin/Vocals
Chief Musician Patrick J. White, a native of Williamsport, Md., joined the Navy Band Country Current in 1995. Prior to joining Country Current, he toured professionally with the Hazel River Band and attended Hagerstown Community College where he received his associate’s degree. He has performed at the Grand Ole Opry and many other prominent bluegrass festivals throughout the nation. Additionally, he is a highly sought-after studio musician for many local and national bands.
In addition to performing on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and vocals, Chief White is the leading chief petty officer of the unit, overseeing the daily operations. He is also the musical director for the bluegrass unit. In his free time, White is active in sports and enjoys coaching soccer.Â
