Clarinet Day for College and High School Students
U.S. Navy Band Clarinet Day is an annual event that features a mix of performances, lectures and masterclasses designed to inspire and educate high school- and college-aged musicians. This one-day event is typically held each fall in the Washington area and offers the opportunity to play side-by-side with members of the Navy Band clarinet section in the large Festival Clarinet Choir.
For early registrants, a limited number of lesson times are available for one-on-one clarinet instruction. Featured guest artists and clinicians in recent years have included Sean Osborne, Richie Hawley, Ricardo Morales, Eugene Mondie, Jeremy Reynolds, Larry Combs and Julie DeRoche. The Joint Service Recital showcases performances from the premier bands of the Navy, Army, Air Force and Marines, further providing an experience that is unique to Navy Band Clarinet Day.
This year's Clarinet Day will be on November 16, 2019. Registration for Clarinet Day opens one month prior to the event. For more information on this year’s Clarinet Day, please check back here or follow the Navy Band’s social media accounts.
