Musician 1st Class Justin B. Juarez,


MU1 Justin Juarez

Musician 1st Class Justin Juarez, from San Antonio, Texas, joined the Navy Band in 2019 as a trumpet instrumentalist. Prior to joining the organization, he was an active performer in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex as a member of the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra. He also performed frequently with the Fort Worth Symphony, the Plano Symphony, the Dallas Chamber Symphony Brass Quintet and others, and has performed as a member of the Crested Butte Music Festival orchestra and the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his performing schedule in Texas, Juarez was an in-demand private teacher for the Lewisville Independent School District, mentoring more than 60 students each week and giving frequent masterclasses at middle and high schools throughout the area. His students have enjoyed successes in the Texas 6A All-State ensembles, the National Trumpet Competition, the Midwest Clinic, the Bands of America Grand Nationals competition and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra.

Juarez holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Texas and a Master of Music in trumpet performance from Florida State University. His primary teachers and mentors include Christopher Moore, John Holt and the countless outstanding colleagues that have pushed him to keep practicing.
